Training

Vantage Pointe also offers courses that can train families to resolve conflicts on their own. The goal of these training courses is to empower individuals with the skills necessary to settle their own disputes without the need of a mediator.

Cooperative Parenting or “Crossroads” Classes

Parents who are not married and share the responsibility of raising children may find that they aren’t quite certain how best to communicate. This class educates parents in how to work together to provide for their children, to instill in each child the feelings of safety and stability that come from the consistent care and devotion of both parents.

In this class participants learn that effective co-parenting involves being mindful of what to say to and around children, shielding them from feeling caught in the middle of parents at odds with one another.

Our next Crossroads class is :                          from 9 am – 2 pm at Vantage Pointe.

Constructive Communication Classes

Our Constructive Communication classes teach students skillful means of dealing with emotions and emotional situations. Parents, their adult children, their spouses, and other older family members can participate in this class.

Participants will learn a number of transferable skills that they can use during any interpersonal interactions. The course will teach students how carefully to manage their emotions to avoid negative results.

In the end, participants will learn how to self-monitor their emotions. They will be able to put this newfound emotional intelligence to work in their relationships, family life, and work situations.

Constructive Communication classes occur once a week, for 3 weeks at Vantage Pointe and begin at 6 pm. Next class date is to be determined. Please call for more information.
