Facilitation brings together family members who lack clear expectations of their roles and responsibilities regarding an issue or issues that affect the family. Through facilitated discussions family members can gain a better understanding of one another’s challenges and how to support each other. Vantage Pointe’s trained facilitators provide the setting for this collaborative decision making.
Our facilitators are skilled in working with:
- Parents and their children
- Extended families
- Partners and spouses
- Care providers
Adult children may find it helpful to have a facilitator assist them in conversations that pertain to caring for their elderly parents. Families can use facilitation when going through a transition such as the last child leaving home, a grown child moves home, or when determining a plan of care for a loved one battling illness or injury.
